The flag on my necklace is upside down compared to the picture(I didn't notice this when I first got it), but it looks the same otherwise. The protective cover over the flag does get scratched and smudged relatively easily. The chain did pop open often when I first got it, but the chain's long enough to fit over my head so I just squeezed the link together.
Overall, I do like how the necklace looks.
