Area for Engraving Info is a Little Small By Dr. John Snow
This is a cool, solid piece. It seems much more durable than the link style I had before that only lasted a few months. The flip clasp is also relatively easy to put on and fasten by oneself. My main concern is that the area for engraving is a bit small. There is probably room for two lines, 2-3 words per line, CONSERVATIVELY. Also, you must take it somewhere to have it engraved. "Things Remembered" does this, has shops in most malls in U.S., costs around $20. It's solidness also makes it fairly heavy as well.Teenager Friendly By G. Creal
Perfect for our 15 yr old son who didn't want to wear a medical bracelet and draw attention to his diabetes. (like the insulin pump did'nt already do that). We took it to "Things Remembered" at the mall where they stamped a "medic alert" image on it (which is not bright red) and stamped Type I Diabetes on it. It looks great and my son likes it. I got this as a gift and although I do need a medical ID bracelet, it doesn't really look or feel like one. At least not what I imagine one to be like. I received it already engraved, and the engraving isn't obvious unless you get close to it. It seems strong and I have gotten it wet already with no issues. With a little practice, and making sure you get the right amount of links removed from it, you can learn to put it on yourself, not matter which hand you wear it on.
