Well worth the wait. The color blue is rich and very, very, little gold flecks at all, which means it's a good quality gemstone.... The chain for me was too short.. But, it's good quality sterling silver for small pendants, that I will use it with... I put my pendant on a soft 18" black leather cord with silver lobster clasp, and it is an eye catcher. I have bought from Novica before and the artists are amazing............

The color of the lapis is wonderful. No white, only small pyrite flecks visible. My main problem is the chain is so short it's practically a choker. Plan on buying a new chain, the chain needs to be at least 22". If this wasn't purchased through a National Geographic sponsored company/line then I might have returned it. As is, it's a pretty necklace that I really like, now that I bought a longer chain.
