We first noticed the growing Shamballa trend while in Atlantic City, NJ this summer -- we were walking through the pier shops when we stumbled upon Shamaballas in a jewelry store. They were something like $150 a piece! Now, I'm sure they are high end jewels/crystals, but we just wanted them as Christmas gifts for Penn State fans ... they had to be blue and white. The jeweler needed to have them custom made -- weeks and lots of money! Then, we recently saw them in town (we live near Penn State) and the retailer said they were having trouble getting the correct blue color with the custom blue/white arrangement. Still --$80 a piece.
